Part of the Seaford Biodiversity Project launch day. Join James Duncan of the Seaford Natural History Society for a short 2km stroll at Seaford Head Nature Reserve to observe resident birds and potential visiting species. Grassy paths that may be muddy after rain. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Gather near South Hill car park. No dogs permitted.

A launch event for the Seaford Biodiversity Project, celebrating the remarkable wildlife found along Seaford's coastline. Join naturalist James Duncan to discover evidence of sea life below the waves and observe the southerly Kittiwake colony on the cliffs if still present. The 2-hour session is suitable for all ages and under-18s are welcome with a parent or guardian. Doors open at 10:45am.

Seaford, Litlington White Horse and Seaford Head Coastal Hike with Optional Swim

A panoramic 13 mile (20km) circular hike starting from Seaford railway station at 10:50, heading towards Newhaven then inland past Devils Rest Bottom with views of the Litlington White Horse, returning over Seaford Head with views across to the Seven Sisters. There may be a chance for a sea swim at Seaford at the end, followed by a pub stop. Also cross posted to the Escape London City Explorers and London Explorers Meetup groups, whose walkers travel down from London Victoria on the train arriving at Seaford at 10:48.

BIG Summer SOCIAL, Seven Sisters Coastal (23km)

Outdooraholics' annual Big Summer Social, a larger and more sociable version of their most popular hike. The 15 mile (23km) route begins in Seaford by the Napoleonic Martello Tower and crosses the Seven Sisters cliffs with a cliff top group picnic, finishing with extra time in Eastbourne for the pier, beach, fish and chips and a pub stop. The group meets at London Victoria at 08:20 and return train travel is included in the price.

HIKE 22km Seven Sisters Coastal, The Towering Chalk Sea Cliffs of Sussex

A guided 14 mile (22km) hike along the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, starting from Seaford and following the South Downs Way past Cuckmere Haven, Birling Gap and Belle Tout Lighthouse to finish in Eastbourne. Graded intermediate to challenging with 580m of ascent and 5.5 to 6.5 hours of walking. The group meets at London Victoria at 08:20 and travels down by train, which is included in the price.

A free 12 to 14 mile return hike from Eastbourne to Cuckmere Haven via the Seven Sisters, covering all seven chalk peaks (Haven Brow, Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Baileys Hill and Went Hill Brow) before descending to the Cuckmere Haven estuary. Optional swim at Cuckmere Haven.
