HIKE 22km Seven Sisters Coastal Chalk Cliffs

A guided 14 mile (22km) hike along the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, starting from Seaford and following the South Downs Way past Cuckmere Haven, Birling Gap and Belle Tout Lighthouse to finish in Eastbourne. Graded intermediate to challenging with 580m of ascent and 5.5 to 6.5 hours of walking. The group meets at London Victoria at 08:20 and travels down by train, which is included in the price.

Seaford Community Music Festival 2026

Seaford Rotary hosts the Seaford Community Music Festival, an open-air family event showcasing around 350 local performers throughout the afternoon and evening. Includes winners of the Rotary Young Musician Competition, a massed choir from five local primary schools, accomplished local performers, and artists associated with Glyndebourne and English National Opera. Music runs from 3.30pm until 10pm, culminating in a low-noise fireworks display. Picnics encouraged, quality food vendors on site, with local musician Jonny Lewis as compere.

A panoramic 13 mile (20km) circular hike starting from Seaford railway station at 10:50, heading towards Newhaven then inland past Devils Rest Bottom with views of the Litlington White Horse, returning over Seaford Head with views across to the Seven Sisters. There may be a chance for a sea swim at Seaford at the end, followed by a pub stop. Also cross posted to the Escape London City Explorers and London Explorers Meetup groups, whose walkers travel down from London Victoria on the train arriving at Seaford at 10:48.

Outdooraholics' annual Big Summer Social, a larger and more sociable version of their most popular hike. The 15 mile (23km) route begins in Seaford by the Napoleonic Martello Tower and crosses the Seven Sisters cliffs with a cliff top group picnic, finishing with extra time in Eastbourne for the pier, beach, fish and chips and a pub stop.
